Frequently asked questions

Do you accept my insurance?
Crystal Lake accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and most insurance plans, as well as private pay. Our Director of Admissions, an expert in insurance and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, will guide you through the process, and will assist you in determining eligibility as well as maximizing your benefits.

Do you have separate wings for different types of care?
Our sub-acute/rehabilitative therapy, long-term care, developmentally disabled care, and behavioral health program are situated in completely separate units.

Are you one of those big corporate chain facilities?
Crystal Lake is family owned and operated, which is why we excel in providing individual attention. We do network with several other New Jersey facilities, sharing innovative ideas to maintain and improve our standards of excellence.

What types of conditions do you provide therapy for?
Crystal Lake provides therapy for a wide range of rehabilitative needs. These include:
• Hip or knee replacement
• Post-stroke care
• Post-surgery recovery
• Wound care
• Motor vehicle trauma
• Cardiac care
• Bone healing
• Diabetes management
• Pain management

Do you need advance notification for admissions?
Our office is open 24/7 to accept new admissions. Although beds are not always available, we do make every effort to accommodate admissions requests as much as possible.

What are your nursing staff’s credentials?
Unlike many other facilities, we use no agency staffing. Crystal Lake’s philosophy is that consistency of caregivers is crucial for patients to thrive. Our nurses have an average tenure of over 7 years; nursing assistants, over 10. They bond with their patients, and are familiar with their physical, social, and emotional needs.

“Whenever I contacted anyone in the office, I was treated courteously, and always received a call back when requested. My questions were answered and problems resolved.”
